Christmas 2007! new

Sometimes, to go foward we have to deal with our past.

We cannot LIVE in the past or it becomes the present and future.  Dealing with the past is alot different than living in it.

Reflections of the past can lead to healing, self renewal and a sense of accomplishment if you let it.

When I was looking through pictures, I noticed in my recent pictures, I am starting to look like I did when I was young.

(The picture below that says June 1984 should be AGE 17, not age 16 - I'm too tired to go change it :P)

These were around June of 1997, when I weighed around 173 -180.

My license picture below is from 1998 and someone commented on it when I was writing a check at the store.  When I looked at it, I realized I hadn't had a new picture since 1998.

I was about 25 lbs less than I am now, so I was a bit shocked someone noticed it.

I can't believe I posted this picture.  I don't wear anything with sleeves above the middle of my upper arm because it just magnifies my flabby arms!

I compare this picture with my 1998 pictures and I see my arms aren't much different than they were then, it seems the more weight I lose, the more I nitpick over every flaw on my body.

When I started gaining weight 5 or 6 years ago, I noticed my arms and midsection is where I started carrying the excess fat & weight and are the areas I lose in last.

I have read so many times you can't "spot" reduce or train any part of your body, you can only get rid of the fat on top of the muscle you already have by lowering your fat and aerobic exercise.

I need to lose another 6" in my arms for me to even feel comfortable in public to wear a tank top.

This is what I've been doing most often:

15:00 min Resistance Bands/Free weights (3-4 times a week)

0:00 - 6:00 Warm up 2.3 mph

6:00 - 10:00 Jogging 3.5- 3.7 mph

10:00 - 16:00 Walking 2.5 mph

16:00 - 20:00 Jogging 3.5- 3.7 mph

20:00 - 26:00 Walking 2.5 mph

26:00 - 30:00 Jogging 3.5- 3.7 mph

30:00 - 40:00 Walking 2.5 mph

40:00 - 45:00 Cool down 2.3 mph

Many of life's failures are experienced by people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
